Title 7 › Chapter CHAPTER 71— - AGRICULTURAL TRADE SUSPENSION ADJUSTMENT › § 4003
Requires the Secretary of Agriculture, working with the U.S. Trade Representative and any other federal agencies the Secretary chooses, to study how U.S. farm exports could be expanded and how those exports might be used to get natural resources or other goods the country needs. The Secretary must finish the study and send a report to the President and Congress before June 30, 1981. The study must look five years ahead and cover world needs for food, feed, and fiber; U.S. and world production capacity; possible new or larger foreign markets; the chance to trade farm goods for resources (including energy) or other needed products; and the steps the United States must take to maximize exports and such exchanges.
