§5844 Definitions and authorization of appropriations

Summary
Names key words and approves money for the National Genetic Resources Program. Program means the National Genetic Resources Program. Secretary means the Secretary of Agriculture. Director means the Director of the National Genetic Resources Program. It allows whatever funds are needed for each fiscal year 1991 through 2013, and $1,000,000 for each fiscal year 2014 through 2023.

(a)For purposes of this subchapter:
(1)The term “program” means the National Genetic Resources Program.
(2)The term “Secretary” means the Secretary of Agriculture.
(3)The term “Director” means the Director of the National Genetic Resources Program.
(b)There are authorized to be appropriated to carry out this subchapter—
(1)such sums as are necessary for each of fiscal years 1991 through 2013; and
(2)$1,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2014 through 2023.
