§8784 Assignment of payments

Summary
Payments under this program must follow the assignment rules already set in federal law. If a producer gives their right to receive payments to someone else, either the producer or the person getting those payments must notify the Secretary in the way the Secretary requires.

(a)The provisions of section 590h(g) of title 16, relating to assignment of payments, shall apply to payments made under this chapter.
(b)The producer making the assignment, or the assignee, shall provide the Secretary with notice, in such manner as the Secretary may require, of any assignment made under this section.
