§9033 Term of loans

Summary

Marketing assistance loans for any loan commodity must run for 9 months. The 9-month period starts on the first day of the month after the month the loan was made. The Secretary cannot extend that 9-month loan period for any commodity.

(a)In the case of each loan commodity, a marketing assistance loan under section 9031 of this title shall have a term of 9 months beginning on the first day of the first month after the month in which the loan is made.
(b)The Secretary may not extend the term of a marketing assistance loan for any loan commodity.
