Title 7 › Chapter CHAPTER 32— - PEANUT STATISTICS › § 953
People and businesses who handle peanuts (for example: warehousemen, brokers, cleaners, shellers, dealers, growers’ co-ops, crushers, salters, peanut-product makers, and owners who are not the original grower) must give truthful reports on how many peanuts and peanut oil they receive, process, ship, or own when the Secretary asks, using the forms and time limits the Secretary provides. Refusing to report or willfully giving false information is a misdemeanor punishable by a $300–$1,000 fine, up to one year in jail, or both.
