The Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services may, starting in fiscal year 2017 and every year after, ask for, accept, manage, and use gifts, including donated property, to run immigrant integration grants and other citizenship programs. All gifts must be put into a separate Treasury general fund account called the "Citizenship Gift and Bequest Account." Those funds stay available until spent and are in addition to any appropriated funds.
