ICR renewal keeps reporting requirement

If you operate benzene storage vessels or a coke oven by-product recovery plant, the EPA submitted an information collection request (ICR) extension to OMB to continue current reporting under 40 CFR part 61, subparts L and Y. The ICR is currently approved through February 28, 2025; comments are due March 31, 2025. The estimated respondent burden is 1,130 hours per year and the total estimated cost is $143,000 per year; responding is mandatory.

Estimated reporting burden decreased

EPA estimates a decrease of 2,090 hours in total respondent burden compared with the currently approved ICR based on a reduced number of respondents; there are no program changes. The ICR lists seven total respondents and responses occur occasionally, semiannually, and annually.
