Continued mandatory paperwork for leather finishers

Leather finishing businesses must keep supplying information to the EPA to show they follow the NESHAP for Leather Finishing Operations (40 CFR part 63, subpart TTTT). The collection is mandatory and is estimated to cover 4 respondents with a total burden of 138 hours per year and total estimated cost of $17,400 per year; responses occur initially, occasionally, and annually.

Who must comply: major-source leather facilities

The NESHAP information collection applies to existing and new leather finishing facilities that are major sources of hazardous air pollutants (HAP) or that are collocated with other sources that are individually or collectively a major HAP source. 'New' facilities include those that began construction or reconstruction after the date of proposal for the rule.
