Permission to store beer for lab tests

You work at Grefco Mine & Mill: the company asked MSHA to allow it to keep containers of beer with less than 10 percent alcohol by volume (ABV) on-site for product quality control, statistical control, and research testing. The proposal would let Grefco store opened or closed beer in secure, locked steel cabinets with marked bottles, log receipts and use, track amounts used, and dispose of remaining degassed beer; Grefco says it may run about 5 to 30 beer-soluble-iron (BSI) tests per day. Comments on the petition (Docket M-2025-002-M) must be received by April 2, 2025.
