Steel Rod Duties from India, China Stay Put

Published Date: 3/11/2025

Notice

Summary

The U.S. Department of Commerce decided to keep extra taxes (countervailing duties) on steel threaded rods from India and China because removing them could hurt U.S. businesses. This means these duties stay in place starting March 11, 2025, protecting American producers from unfair foreign subsidies. No changes in the duties were made, so importers should expect the same costs for now.
