Abandoning 7.3 Miles of Pipeline
On June 30, 2025 Northern Natural Gas filed to abandon in place approximately 5.8 miles of 10-inch Erie Mining branch line, about 1.5 miles of 8-inch Mesabi Nugget branch line, and the Mesabi Nugget town border station in St. Louis County, Minnesota. The company states these Facilities are not needed to meet firm requirements and that the abandonment will eliminate unnecessary operation and maintenance costs.
