Soybean Bt Protein Residue Exemption
If you grow or process soybeans containing the Bacillus thuringiensis Cry1A.2 or Cry1B.2 proteins used as plant-incorporated protectants (PIP), the EPA exempts residues of those proteins from the requirement of a tolerance. This rule eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible residue level for those proteins on soybean when used in accordance with the exemption.
