Published Date: 9/30/2025
Proposed Rule
Summary
Big trains called Class I rail carriers no longer have to report extra spending on Positive Train Control since it’s fully done. Instead, they’ll start sharing two important service numbers every week to help keep trains running smoothly. These changes kick in soon and aim to make rail service better without extra hassle or cost.
