Finalized Flood Map Changes May Affect Your Insurance
You who live in or own property in the listed communities (cities and counties in FL, GA, IN, MI, MN, MS, MO, OH, TN, TX, VA, and WI) have final flood map changes (LOMRs) dated July 18, 2025 through August 11, 2025. These changes revise Base Flood Elevations, Special Flood Hazard Area boundaries, and floodways and can change whether you must buy flood insurance or how much your flood insurance costs. You can inspect the final maps at your community map repository or online at the FEMA Map Service Center (https://msc.fema.gov).
Communities Must Adopt NFIP Floodplain Measures
The finalized LOMRs are the basis for the floodplain management measures that each affected community is required to adopt or show are already in effect so the community can remain qualified for the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). These requirements come from 44 CFR 60.3 and the Flood Disaster Protection Act provisions cited in the notice.
