Analyzed Economic Effects
3 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.
Voluntary 27-Question Runner Survey
The Marine Corps Marathon will send an online, voluntary 27-question survey by email to race participants after the marathon. The survey is conducted annually, is estimated to involve 1,679 respondents, and averages 10 minutes per response (total annual burden 280 hours).
Economic Impact Results Shared Locally
The survey includes questions about participant spending and length of stay so the Marine Corps Marathon Organization can measure the event's economic effects. The economic impact findings and a summary report will be shared with local community partners in Washington, DC and surrounding areas to inform stakeholders.
Anonymous and Confidential Responses
The Marine Corps Marathon Organization will keep all individual survey responses anonymous and confidential and will only share a summary report. Individual respondents' answers will not be identified when results are shared with MCMO or local partners.
