The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission released an Environmental Assessment (EA) for Project No. 2425 on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River near Luray and Newport in Page County, Virginia. The EA concludes that issuing a new major license to continue operating the Luray and Newport Hydroelectric Project, with appropriate environmental protective measures, would not be a major federal action that significantly affects the quality of the human environment.
Notice says no extra taxpayer cost
