Tribal Bridge Permit Denied
On December 16, 2025 the President denied the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas’s Presidential Permit application (Kickapoo International Bridge). The Tribe may not construct, maintain, or operate the proposed commercial and personally owned vehicle crossing at the U.S.–Mexico border in Eagle Pass, Texas, under the authority cited (33 U.S.C. 535d).
No New Eagle Pass Vehicle Crossing
Because the Presidential Permit was denied, no new commercial or personal vehicle crossing at Eagle Pass, Texas (the site proposed in the application) will be allowed pursuant to this application as of the December 16, 2025 decision. Travelers and businesses that would have used that proposed crossing cannot rely on a new crossing from this application.
