More Mississippi Counties Added
The Presidential disaster declaration was amended to add the following primary counties in Mississippi as adversely affected by the severe winter storm: Adams, Attala, Benton, Claiborne, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lee, Marshall, Panola, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo, Union, and Yalobusha. The amendment applies to the incident period January 23, 2026 through January 27, 2026 and makes those areas part of the Public Assistance declaration (FEMA-4899-DR).
Deadlines To Apply For SBA Disaster Loans
If you were affected by this declared disaster, the deadline to apply for physical damage loans is April 7, 2026, and the deadline to apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) is November 6, 2026. Applications are submitted through the MySBA Loan Portal at https://lending.sba.gov.
