CDC Survey Testing Project (2026–2029)
The CDC plans a generic clearance called CCQDER to design and test questionnaires from 2026 through 2029. An average of 55,900 people per year may be asked to participate, with an estimated total respondent burden of 14,100 hours per year.
Large Annual RANDS Methodological Survey
As part of CCQDER, the RANDS methodological survey is expected to collect about 49,800 responses each year, with each response averaging 15 minutes and totaling about 12,450 burden hours annually. These RANDS contacts will be conducted by in-person, telephone, or web methods as part of the 2026–2029 activities.

This Order was issued on August 12, 2026, and shall remain in effect through 4:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on Friday, September 11, 2026. This Order may be amended or rescinded prior to that time at the discretion of the Director.
