Local parent organizations can apply for competitive grants that will not exceed $150,000 for a single 12-month budget period and a total award not to exceed $750,000.
Who can apply: local parent organizations
Only "local parent organizations" are eligible. Those organizations must be private nonprofit groups (not institutions of higher education) whose boards are majority parents of children with disabilities ages birth through 26 and that meet additional board composition and mission requirements described in the notice.
Program funds parent training and information
The program funds activities to ensure parents of children with disabilities receive high-quality training and information to help improve outcomes for their children; grants awarded through this competition will support Community Parent Resource Centers.
