eDIB Records May Be Stored In Cloud

SSA May Share Info To Reach Claimants
SSA added a routine use permitting limited disclosures of information to third parties as necessary to reach claimants, beneficiaries, and others SSA has a business need to contact. The new routine use is effective May 15, 2026.

SSA revised routine uses to permit disclosures to third parties (for example, interpreters or telecommunications relay system operators) when an individual involved with a request needs assistance to communicate because of a hearing impairment or language barrier.
