You must register to attend

If you want to attend the open sessions in person or online, you must register in advance. A registration link will be posted at www.nagb.gov no later than five (5) business days before each meeting on May 14-15, 2026.

If you want to submit written comments related to the Governing Board or committee agenda items, you must send them by close of business five days prior to each meeting. Send comments by email to the Designated Federal Officer or by hard copy to the address listed in the notice.

Some sessions are closed to the public

Certain meetings or parts of meetings will be closed to the public because they involve confidential assessment items, unreleased NAEP results, budget, or proprietary contract information. Examples of closed times include May 14, 2026 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Assessment Development Committee) and May 14, 2026 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Board closed session).

Transcripts and records available after meetings

The official verbatim transcripts of the open meeting sessions will be available for public inspection no later than 30 calendar days after each meeting. Meeting materials and other Governing Board records may be inspected by appointment at 400 Maryland Avenue SW, Washington, DC 20202.

The meeting location is accessible and if you need an auxiliary aid or service (for example, an interpreter or materials in alternate format), you must notify the Designated Federal Officer by close of business on May 7, 2026.
