If you are a credit union customer, your credit union must give you clear privacy notices and offer you the chance to opt out of some sharing of your personal financial information. The NCUA estimates this collection covers 1,801,750 respondents, 1,801,750 annual responses, and 485,282 total annual burden hours. Comments on this paperwork renewal are due by May 18, 2026.

Reverse Mortgage Risk Management Guidance

NCUA is renewing guidance to help credit unions manage compliance and risks from reverse mortgage lending and to ensure their consumer protection practices address those risks. The collection covers 12 respondents, 12 annual responses, and 128 total annual burden hours. Comments must be received by May 18, 2026.

Privacy Act Identity Verification and Consent

NCUA proposes a new collection to verify identities and obtain consent before disclosing records protected under the Privacy Act, to prevent wrongful disclosures and to support processing of FOIA and Privacy Act requests.
