Title I, Part C Grants Extended to 2028

If your child is a migratory student, the Department proposes to extend funding for 39 Title I, Part C Consortium Incentive Grant projects for up to two additional 12‑month periods, not to exceed September 30, 2028, so services can continue. The current project period for these grantees ends September 30, 2026. You can submit comments on this proposal by May 18, 2026.

Continuation Awards Depend on FY2027 Funds

If you are a FY2023 grantee listed in the notice (State educational agencies for the named states), the Department may issue continuation awards in FY2026 and potentially in FY2027 at its discretion and only if FY2027 funds are available. Any continuation funding must be consistent with the grantee's approved FY2023 application and the Secretary will consider progress, fund expenditures, performance targets, and compliance with civil rights requirements.
