Third-Party Contractor Fees for EA SEE

In addition to the IRS fee, the contractor who administers the EA SEE charges examinees directly: $251 per part for the May 2026–February 2027, May 2027–February 2028, and May 2028–February 2029 testing periods, and $211 per part for the May 2029–February 2030 testing period. These contractor fees are fixed by contract and are separate from the IRS $66 per-part user fee.

IRS Fee Cut for Enrolled Agent Exam

Starting April 20, 2026, the IRS fee to take each part of the Enrolled Agent Special Enrollment Examination (EA SEE) is reduced from $99 per part to $66 per part. This $66 fee is the IRS’s calculated full cost to oversee each exam part and applies to registrations on or after April 20, 2026.
