Drug-Free Communities annual reporting hours
If your organization is a Drug-Free Communities (DFC) grant recipient, you must submit an annual progress report via the DFC & CARA Me system that ONDCP estimates will take about 24 hours to complete. DFC Program Directors also submit a Coalition Asset Survey (CAS) that takes about 1 hour, core measures are collected every two years, and ONDCP estimates the total annual respondent burden for DFC respondents as 19,642 hours.
CARA recipients added to reporting system
CARA Local Drug Crisis grant award recipients (including current and former DFC recipients) will be included in the DFC & CARA Me system and must submit an annual report via that system that ONDCP estimates will take about 10 hours each. ONDCP estimates the total annual respondent burden for CARA respondents at 640 hours.
System improvements reduce reporting burden
ONDCP says the DFC & CARA Me web system is more user friendly and validates data during entry, which reduces the burden on grant award recipients and supports grant reporting and oversight.
Annual case studies and interviews
Approximately nine DFC grant award recipients are selected each year for case studies; face-to-face case study interviews will take about 1–2 hours, and the information will be used to document coalition practices, successes, and challenges.
