Federal Financial Support for Gas Infrastructure

If you run a company that builds natural gas or liquefied natural gas (LNG) pipelines, processing plants, storage, liquefaction, or export facilities, the Secretary of Energy is authorized (by the Presidential Determination dated April 20, 2026) to use the Defense Production Act to make purchases, purchase commitments, and provide financial support and other financial instruments to enable these projects. The determination also waives the requirements of section 303(a)(1)-(a)(6) of the Act for the purpose of expanding such capacity.
