No Taiwanese Steel Pipes? Review Canceled, Duties on Hold

Published Date: 4/29/2026

Notice

Summary

The U.S. Department of Commerce is canceling the review of special steel pipes from Taiwan for the year Nov 2024 to Oct 2025 because no shipments were found to check. This means no extra duties or changes will happen for importers or sellers during this time. The decision kicks in on April 29, 2026, keeping things simple and clear for everyone involved.

Analyzed Economic Effects

4 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 2 costs, 0 mixed.

Review Canceled — No Duty Changes

If you import or sell circular welded non-alloy steel pipe (CWP) from Taiwan, Commerce rescinded the antidumping administrative review for the period November 1, 2024 through October 31, 2025 because there were no suspended entries for any of the 12 companies. This means no extra antidumping duty rates or changes will be imposed for that period; the rescission is applicable April 29, 2026.

Cash Deposit Rates Stay The Same

Commerce states that no cash deposit rates will change as a result of this rescission, and current cash deposit requirements will remain in effect until further notice. This continues the existing deposit rules for entries of CWP from Taiwan.

How Duties Will Be Assessed

Commerce will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to assess antidumping duties on appropriate entries at rates equal to the cash deposit rate required at the time of entry or withdrawal for consumption. Commerce intends to issue assessment instructions to CBP no earlier than 35 days after this notice is published in the Federal Register (publication April 29, 2026).

APO Return or Destruction Duty

If you received proprietary information under an Administrative Protective Order (APO) in this proceeding, you must return or destroy that information in accordance with 19 CFR 351.305(a)(3). Failure to comply is a violation and may lead to sanctions.
