Analyzed Economic Effects

3 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 2 costs, 0 mixed.

NOAA Miami Lawn Care Assigned

The Committee proposes adding lawn care at NOAA’s Atlantic Oceanographic & Meteorological Laboratory, 4301 Rickenbacker Causeway, Miami, FL, to the Procurement List and making Goodwill Industries of South Florida, Inc. the authorized source. This change directs the Department of Commerce NOAA contracting activity to purchase this service from that nonprofit which employs persons who are blind or have severe disabilities.

Menlo Park Custodial Services Removed

The Committee proposes deleting custodial and related services at the U.S. Geological Survey Campus, 345 Middlefield Road, Menlo Park, CA, that were authorized to Hope Services, San Jose, CA. If finalized, this removal would end the mandatory Procurement List purchase designation for that custodial work currently furnished by that nonprofit.

Menlo Park Grounds Maintenance Removed

The Committee proposes deleting grounds maintenance at the U.S. Geological Survey Campus, 345 Middlefield Road, Menlo Park, CA, that was authorized to North Bay Rehabilitation Services, Inc., Rohnert Park, CA. If finalized, the GSA contracting activity would no longer be required to buy those grounds services from that nonprofit.
