CBP Form Restored to Seek Fine Relief

You (individuals or businesses) can use CBP Form 4609 to ask U.S. Customs and Border Protection to remit (cancel) or mitigate (reduce) forfeitures, fines, or penalties assessed under the Tariff Act of 1930 or other CBP-administered laws. CBP has reinstated Form 4609 (reinstatement without change), which is authorized by 19 U.S.C. 1618 and provided for by 19 CFR 171.1 and is available at the CBP forms webpage.
