The Bureau of Land Management has identified human remains recovered in 1964 from the East Cape site on eastern Spruce Island as affiliated with the Native Village of Ouzinkie. Repatriation of these remains may occur on or after June 29, 2026, and written requests for repatriation must be sent to Robin O. Mills at the BLM Anchorage office (222 W 7th Avenue #13, Anchorage, AK 99513 or email [email protected]).
