Analyzed Economic Effects

5 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 3 costs, 0 mixed.

Monthly Clock Service Fee

Starting May 18, 2026, the Exchange charges $7,500 per month for its Cboe Clock Service. The fee includes a single 1 Gbps physical port and the service can be used to connect to all eight Cboe exchanges; subscribing firms (Members and non-Members) may cancel at any time.

Optional Redundant Connection Fee

The Exchange offers an optional redundant Clock Service connection (an extra 1 Gbps physical port) for $2,500 per month. Firms may purchase multiple secondary connections if they choose.

One-Time HATI Licensing Fee

Firms that do not use a Safran White Rabbit switch must pay a one-time High-Accuracy Timing IP Core (HATI) licensing set-up fee of $5,000 per physical connection to enable their device for the Clock Service.

30-Day Free Trial and Proration Rules

New subscribers get a 30-day free trial of the Clock Service fee only; first-time subscribers still must pay any one-time HATI set-up fees and fees for any additional connections. Monthly fees are prorated for mid-month starts, but the one-time HATI fee is not prorated.

High-Precision Time Synchronization Capability

The Clock Service provides White Rabbit time signals over a 1 Gbps port so subscribers can synchronize their primary clocks to the Exchange's clock at a more granular level, enabling sub-nanosecond-level latency measurements between a firm's systems and the Exchange.
