3 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 3 costs, 0 mixed.

New Section 184/184A Forms Required

HUD is proposing many new forms (HUD-50097 through HUD-50175 and others listed) that Tribes, lenders, borrowers, servicers, and building inspectors must provide when using Section 184 or 184A loan guarantees. The agency estimates 26,104 annual responses, 2,701.41 total annual burden hours, and $78,639.83 in annual respondent costs. Comments on the collection are due by July 23, 2026.

Tribal Land Status Certification Requirement

HUD will require Tribes to submit land status information and a Tribal contact plus a Tribal official signature affirming the Tribe has jurisdiction over the property used as security for a Section 184 loan. This requirement is part of the proposed information collection for the Section 184 and 184A Loan Guarantee Program.

Servicer Forms for Foreclosure and Preservation Requests

The collection includes forms servicers use to request an extension to file first legal action, to request increases in property preservation costs, and to request variances to a pre-foreclosure sale (examples include HUD-50103, HUD-50108). These servicer actions are covered by the proposed collection and its burden estimates.
