Tribal courts face survey time burden

Tribal courts will be asked to complete the 2026 Census of Tribal Court Systems (CTCS) during a fielding period planned for January 2027 through April 2027. BJS estimates 378 tribal court respondents will each spend about 65 minutes to complete form CTCS-26, about 39 respondents will be contacted for 15-minute follow-ups, total burden hours are estimated at 417 hours and the total annual cost burden is estimated at $10,537.86; responding is voluntary.
