NYSE Quietly Tweaks Data Feed Fees Again

Published Date: 7/7/2026

Notice

Summary

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is updating its connectivity fee schedule to add a new data feed from Investors Exchange (IEX) and rename some Cboe data feeds. This change affects anyone who connects to third-party market data through NYSE’s Mahwah data center and takes effect immediately, possibly impacting connection fees. It’s a quick update to keep data connections fresh and clear for users.

Analyzed Economic Effects

3 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 1 costs, 1 mixed.

IEX Options Connectivity Added ($1,300)

The NYSE will add a new Investors Exchange (IEX) Options data feed to its Mahwah data center connectivity list and will offer connectivity to IEX Equities and IEX Options at a monthly recurring connectivity fee of $1,300 per feed. IEX intends to launch IEX Options on October 2, 2026; the Exchange expects the rule to be operative by August 31, 2026 and does not plan to charge the $1,300 until the IEX Options feed is available.

Cboe Feeds Reorganized by Asset Class

The NYSE will rename and reorganize Cboe third‑party data feeds at the Mahwah data center so Cboe data is broken out by asset class (e.g., "Cboe U.S. Equities," "Cboe Options," "Cboe Global Indices"). The monthly recurring connectivity fee for each listed Cboe data feed remains the same (for example, many Cboe feeds are listed at $1,500 monthly and Cboe Canada at $2,000).

Connectivity Is Voluntary; Third‑Party Data Charges Remain

Connecting to any Third Party Data Feed through NYSE's Mahwah data center is voluntary and the connectivity fees are applied uniformly to all Users. Users must enter into contracts with the third‑party content providers (and may be charged by those providers for the data feed) and the Exchange will separately charge the connectivity fee only to Users who opt in.
