Final public hearings and comment deadline

MARAD and the U.S. Coast Guard will hold two final public hearings on the Blue Marlin Offshore Port application: Aug. 4, 2026, 6:00–8:00 p.m. CDT at the Cameron Parish Police Jury West Annex, 148 Smith Circle, Cameron, LA; and Aug. 5, 2026, 6:00–8:00 p.m. CDT at the Bob Bowers Civic Center, 3401 Cultural Center Drive, Port Arthur, TX 77640. An informational open house precedes each hearing from 5:00–6:00 p.m. CDT; you may submit comments verbally or in writing at the hearings or online/mail by 11:59 p.m. EDT on Aug. 5, 2026 via regulations.gov (DOT Docket MARAD-2020-0127) or mail/hand delivery to the DOT Docket address.

Accommodations for hearing participants

If you need special assistance to participate in the hearings—such as sign language interpretation, a non-English language translator, or other reasonable accommodations—you must notify MARAD at least seven business days before the hearing using the contact information in the notice. Provide your contact information and details about the assistance you need so the agency can arrange the accommodation.

Public posting and searchability of comments

All comments and written materials submitted to DOT Docket Number MARAD-2020-0127 will be posted without change to the public docket at www.regulations.gov and are searchable by docket number and the name of the commenter. Remarks at the hearings will be recorded and transcribed for inclusion in the public docket.
