Chinese Exporters Face Antidumping Probe
Commerce has opened an antidumping (LTFV) investigation of choline salts from China effective July 14, 2026. The petition identifies 92 Chinese producers/exporters and estimates dumping margins ranging from 73.39% up to 313.82% depending on surrogate-country valuation; the period of investigation is October 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026.

Commerce initiated the investigation on July 14, 2026 to determine whether imports of choline salts from China are being sold at less-than-fair-value.
Deadlines for Chinese Respondents and Separate-Rate Rules
Commerce will issue quantity-and-value (Q&V) questionnaires to Chinese producers/exporters and set a Q&V response deadline of 5:00 p.m. ET on July 28, 2026. Exporters/producers from China must also submit a separate rate application, which the notice says will be due 21 days after publication of this initiation notice; companies that do not file a timely Q&V response will not receive separate rate consideration.
Which Choline Products Are Covered
The investigation covers choline salts that can deliver the nutrient choline, including choline chloride, choline bitartrate, and choline dihydrogen citrate, and covers articles where choline salt content is at least 30 percent by weight. Excluded are choline hydroxide and choline salicylate; the notice lists applicable HTSUS subheadings for customs reference.
