250‑Yard Transit Restrictions During Dredging

You cannot enter or transit within 250 yards of the operating dredge in the Marcus Hook area from July 15, 2026, through October 31, 2026, unless you get permission. To request transit you must contact the operating dredge on VHF channel 13 or 16 at least 1 hour before arrival or obtain permission from the Captain of the Port via VHF channel 16 or phone (833) 453-1007.

Anchorage 7 Size and Booking Limits

From July 15, 2026, through October 31, 2026, vessels must be at least 650 feet long to anchor in Anchorage 7 off Marcus Hook, and must get permission from the Captain of the Port at least 24 hours in advance by calling (833) 453-1007. The Captain of the Port will allow a maximum of two vessels at a time, on a first-come, first-served basis, and only for a 12-hour anchoring period; vessels under 650 feet may request special case-by-case approval.

Anchorage 9 Minimum Length Requirement

From July 15, 2026, through October 31, 2026, vessels must be at least 500 feet long to anchor in Anchorage 9 near the entrance to Mantua Creek; vessels under 500 feet may request case-by-case approval by contacting the Captain of the Port at (833) 453-1007. Anchorage 9 is identified as overflow for vessels between about 500 and 700 feet while dredging is underway.
