SBIC Limited Partnership Agreement Update
If you run or plan to form a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) as a limited partnership, the SBA intends to update its Model Limited Partnership Agreement to make it more like private fund contracts while keeping the regulatory and policy provisions that minimize risk to the SBIC program and to taxpayers. SBA will consider public comments and is accepting comments on or before September 21, 2026; it may publish a revised Model later and will post the final version on the SBA website.
