Under Rule 15c1-5 (17 CFR 240.15c1-5), if a broker-dealer is controlled by, controls, or is under common control with the issuer of a security you are buying or selling, the broker-dealer must give you a written notice disclosing that control relationship. The notice must be provided at or before completion of the transaction.
