2026-15042, Bureau of Political-Military Affairs; Statutory Debarment Under the Arms Export Control Act and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations
Starting July 24, 2026, anyone convicted of breaking U.S. arms export laws is officially banned for three years from dealing with defense exports or services. This means they can’t get licenses or take part in related activities unless the State Department says otherwise. This rule keeps our defense trade safe and fair, affecting individuals and companies involved in arms exports.
