Summary

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of the rules and regulations of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights (Commission) and the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) that the Tennessee Advisory Committee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights will hold a virtual business meetings via Zoom on Monday, August 17, 2026; Monday, September 14, 2026 and Monday, October 19, 2026, from 3:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. CT. For the purpose of discussing ideas for their first project.

Virtual meetings open to public

You can join the Tennessee Advisory Committee’s public meetings virtually on August 17, 2026; September 14, 2026; and October 19, 2026, each from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. CT. Audio/visual access requires registering via the provided Zoom registration links, and an audio-only option is available by calling 1-833-435-1820 (USA toll free) using the webinar IDs listed for each date.

Phone callers may incur charges

If you join the meetings by phone, you can expect to incur regular charges for calls you start on wireless lines according to your wireless plan. The Commission will not refund any incurred charges.

Closed captioning and accommodation requests

Closed captioning will be available for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or who have certain cognitive or learning impairments. To request additional accommodations you must email Corrine Sanders at least 10 business days before the meeting.

Public comment and written submission deadline

Members of the public can make oral comments during the meeting’s open comment period and may also send written comments; written comments must be received by the Regional Programs Unit within 30 days after each meeting. Written comments may be emailed to Brooke Peery (Designated Federal Officer) at the address provided in the notice.
