Notice
Summary
NYSE Texas is giving new exchange-traded products (ETPs) the choice to start trading super early during the Early Trading Session on their IPO day, just like another big exchange does. This change helps traders get in on the action sooner, starting at 4:00 a.m. ET, instead of waiting for the usual 9:30 a.m. auction. It’s effective immediately, so ETPs launching IPOs can jump in early and potentially boost trading excitement and activity right away!

ETP IPOs Can Start Trading at 4:00 a.m. ET
If you trade or invest in exchange-traded products (ETPs), new ETPs launching in an initial public offering (IPO) on NYSE Texas may begin trading in the Early Trading Session at 4:00 a.m. Eastern Time instead of waiting for the IPO Auction at 9:30 a.m. ET. An ETP that elects early trading will follow the Exchange's Early Open Auction processing rules (Rule 7.35(b)).
Issuer Can Keep Traditional 9:30 a.m. Auction
An issuer of an ETP launching an IPO on NYSE Texas may elect to use the default IPO Auction at 9:30 a.m. ET instead of beginning trading at 4:00 a.m. ET if the issuer is concerned about unexpected volatility. This gives issuers a choice between early-session trading and the traditional IPO Auction.
