Temporary Ohio River Safety Zone
If you operate a vessel on the Ohio River near Aurora, Indiana, you may not enter the waters from mile marker (MM) 499 to MM 497 from August 3, 2026 through August 9, 2026 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., unless the Captain of the Port or their designated representative specifically authorizes you. To request permission, contact the Captain of the Port on VHF-FM channel 16 or by phone at 1-800-253-7465.
