SBA Disaster Loans Available in Two Counties

If you live or do business in Lewis or Upshur County, West Virginia, you can apply for SBA disaster loans for physical damage and economic injury after the July 21–22, 2026 incident. You can apply online at the MySBA Loan Portal (https://lending.sba.gov) or in person at locally announced locations; contact SBA at 1-800-659-2955 or use 7-1-1 for relay.

Economic Injury Loans for Neighboring Counties

If your business is in Barbour, Braxton, Doddridge, Gilmer, Harrison, Randolph, or Webster County, West Virginia, you are eligible to apply for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) related to the July 21–22, 2026 incident. These counties are listed as contiguous counties for economic injury assistance only.

SBA Disaster Loan Interest Rates Set

The notice lists interest rates for disaster loans: homeowners with credit available elsewhere 5.750%; homeowners without credit available elsewhere 2.875%; businesses with credit available elsewhere 8.000%; businesses without credit available elsewhere 4.000%; private non-profits (both with and without credit available) 3.625%; and economic injury loans for businesses/small agricultural cooperatives without credit available 4.000%.

Deadlines to Apply for Disaster Loans

If you were affected, the deadline to apply for physical damage SBA loans is October 3, 2026, and the deadline to apply for Economic Injury (EIDL) loans is May 3, 2027. Apply through the MySBA Loan Portal or at local application centers before those dates.
