Summary

In compliance with the requirement of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 to provide an opportunity for public comment on proposed data collection projects, the National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute (NCI) will publish periodic summaries of proposed projects to be submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval.

NIH data-collection time burden

NIH may ask individuals, private-sector respondents, and government workers to take surveys, interviews, program reviews, and focus groups. The notice estimates a total annual burden of 3,375 hours: 5,000 surveys at 15 minutes each, 1,000 interviews at 1 hour each, 500 focus groups at 1 hour each, 500 program reviews at 45 minutes each, and 500 performance measurements at 30 minutes each. There are no monetary costs to respondents other than their time.
