Procurement List deletions for nonprofits
The Committee removed several products and services that were furnished by nonprofit agencies employing persons who are blind or have other severe disabilities from the Procurement List, effective September 12, 2026. The Federal Register notice lists the specific items and services and the nonprofit suppliers that had been authorized.
No new compliance; small firms may bid
The Committee certified the deletions will not cause additional reporting, recordkeeping, or other compliance requirements for small entities and stated the action "may result in authorizing small entities to furnish the product(s) and service(s) to the Government." The certification also states there are no known regulatory alternatives that would accomplish the Javits-Wagner-O'Day Act objectives for these deleted items.
