Summary
The Department of Commerce, in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (PRA), invites the general public and other Federal agencies to comment on proposed and continuing information collections, which help us assess the impact of our information collection requirements and minimize the public's reporting burden. The purpose of this notice is to allow for 60 days of public comment preceding submission of the collection to OMB.

Application Time and Cost Burden
If you apply for the NTIA Competitive Grant Program, each applicant faces an estimated 18 hours of work to complete the application. NTIA estimates 800 respondents, 14,400 total annual burden hours, and an estimated total annual cost to the public of $696,240; responding is mandatory under the collection.
Who May Apply for Grants
The Competitive Grant Program accepts applications from eligible entities including political subdivisions and agencies of States; Indian Tribes, Alaska Native entities, and Native Hawaiian organizations; certain nonprofit foundations, corporations, institutions, and associations; community anchor institutions; local educational agencies; entities that carry out workforce development programs; and partnerships among such entities.
Submission Methods Allowed
NTIA will accept Competitive Grant Program application materials by electronic submission and by mail. This gives applicants the option to submit electronically or via postal mail when responding to the information collection.
