Cash Deposit Rules for Imports
Commerce intends to instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to collect cash deposits of estimated countervailing duties on shipments of brass rod entered or withdrawn for consumption on or after the date of publication of the final results. Cash deposit rules: use company-specific final rates (unless the rate is less than 0.50% and therefore de minimis → cash deposit rate = 0); if producer and exporter rates differ, use the higher rate; if only one has a company-specific rate, use that rate; and the all-others rate remains 2.87%.
Preliminary Subsidy Rates Set
Commerce preliminarily found countervailable subsidies for brass rod from Korea for the period September 29, 2023 through December 31, 2024. It assigned company-specific preliminary ad valorem rates: Booyoung Industry — 0.29% (2023, de minimis) and 0.52% (2024); Daechang Co. Ltd. — 0.47% (2023, de minimis) and 0.20% (2024, de minimis).
Timing for Duty Assessment and Liquidation
Upon issuance of final results, Commerce will direct CBP to assess countervailing duties on the appropriate entries covered by this review. Commerce intends to issue assessment instructions regarding Booyoung Industry and Daechang no earlier than 35 days after publication of the final results; if a timely summons is filed at the U.S. Court of International Trade, CBP will be directed not to liquidate relevant entries until the 90-day statutory injunction window has expired.

On June 1, 2026, the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) initiated the first sunset review of antidumping duty (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) orders on certain walk-behind lawn mowers and parts thereof (lawn mowers) from the People's Republic of China (China) and the AD order on lawn mowers from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Vietnam). Because no domestic party responded to the sunset review notice of initiation by the applicable deadline, consistent with section 751(c)(3)(A) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended (the Act), Commerce is revoking the AD and CVD orders on lawn mowers from China and the AD order on lawn mowers from Vietnam.
