Notice

Summary

NYSE American is updating its rules about fixing big trading mistakes to match new 23-hour, 5-day trading hours. This change helps traders by clearly defining when and how errors in trades can be corrected during these extended hours. The new rule kicks in right away, making trading smoother and fairer without extra costs.

Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 0 costs, 0 mixed.

Overnight trades generally not breakable

If you trade during the Overnight Protected Hours (defined in the LULD Plan as 9:00 p.m. ET through 4:00 a.m. ET), transactions executed inside the LULD Overnight Price Bands will generally not be eligible for clearly erroneous review. This rule extension becomes operative at the start of 23/5 Trading on December 6, 2026.

Rights/warrants remain reviewable overnight

Transactions in NMS stocks that are not subject to the LULD Plan (for example, rights and warrants) executed during Overnight Protected Hours (9:00 p.m. ET through 4:00 a.m. ET) remain eligible for clearly erroneous review and will be subject to the same Numerical Guidelines that apply to the Early and Late Trading Sessions. This treatment takes effect at the start of 23/5 Trading on December 6, 2026.
